These pictures were taken less than 2 hours post-op... as you can see it was a hard recovery. :)
The surgery went really quickly and she woke up woozy and cuddly... no screaming or tantrums! The little boy next to us in recovery didn't fare so well and he was screaming his head off and kicking his mom and throwing juice at the doctor... yikes! I felt for that mother and was so grateful that Clare was just a little cranky and out of sorts. Thank you Lord for a healthy girl and an uneventful morning! The doctor afterward said that her ears were filled with "sludge" and that her hearing will improve tons now.
She was an absolute crack-up while her medications wore off, and she took 3 short naps today which I enjoyed as well. All she has wanted to do today is play outside so I think she is feeling pretty good about life... although I just noticed on the post-op instructions they gave us that we were supposed to "play quietly indoors" today... oops!

that is wonderful that she felt great afterwards! naomi was one of the screaming, cranky ones ;)
Oh my, in so many ways Clare is the exact opposite of the 2.5 hour screaming Kendra after her surgery. Glad Clare fared much better.
Clare didn't read the post OP instructions or know the weather forecast. Glad she enjoyed that beautiful day outside!
